Dr. Haifa Qiao started medical career in 1987 at a public psychiatric hospital in China as a licensed medical doctor and attending physician. 

Dr. Qiao initiated his acupuncture education from Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and then pursued medical master degree in acupuncture and medical doctor degree in Chinese medicine from Shandong University of TCM. Dr. Haifa Qiao has a very strong background of practice and research which focus on acupuncture and neuroscience as well as herbal pharmacology. Before he came to USA, he did acupuncture and Chinese medicine practice at Shandong Acupuncture Hospital and The Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of TCM, research at Shandong University of TCM School of Acupuncture and Beijing Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology (BIPT), taught acupuncture for undergraduates and graduates in Shandong University of TCM. Because of his achievements, he was promoted to professor, the youngest one in Shandong University of TCM in 2003, and was subsequently awarded one of Top ten excellent teachers by Shandong University of TCM, an Excellent Youth Intelligence by Shandong Province, a New Century Excellent Talents in University by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. 

To explore how acupuncture works well and the mechanisms responsible for pain, gastrointestinal disorders, neuroendocrine diseases, senile dementia, stress and mental diseases, etc., He came to USA to broaden his knowledge in the frontier of research, and jointed National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke/National Institutes of Health as a research fellow and Florida State University College of Medicine as an Assistant in Medicine.  In 2013, as a special professor, he was invited to collaborate with China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, the national institute in China, for a research program which focuses on the pain. 

With 27 years experiences in acupuncture and Chinese medicine practice, and 24 years research in Neuroendocrine, herbal pharmacology, Dr. Qiao is exclusive in his abilities to apply Chinese medicine and acupuncture in treating complicated syndromes with the aid of a modern scientific viewpoint.  Dr. Qiao has published 40 papers and 5 books involved in Clinical acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, as well as pharmacology. He is determined to help patients stay in a natural health condition instead of a medication-dependent condition with all possible efforts including acupuncture, herbal medicine, personal health education and personalized food therapy. His skillful acupuncture technique and valuable Chinese medicine clinical experience as well as modern scientific knowledge will help you in many aspects.

Currently, Dr. Qiao is specialized in the field of pain management, gastrointestinal disorders, neurological disorders, skin problems, endocrinal diseases, immune disorders, stress, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders by using acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
